Many, if not all of the major movements of the 20th century reflect aspects of Psychoanalytic thought beginning with Cubism and Surrealism and continuing with Abstract Expressionism and into Contemporary Art. This presentation will explore the connections between art and psychoanalysis.

– Describe how various visual images reflect and demonstrate significant psychoanalytic theoretical concepts.
