Welcome to the new Theodor Reik Society!

We have exciting news! Our NPAP Boards have approved the creation of a Legacy Society, the fruition of a long-held dream to ensure NPAP’s future as an outstanding training institute and home for psychoanalysis. Pledges from Charter Members have exceeded $515,000! We thank these leaders (listed below) for their vision and support.

We hope you will accept this invitation to join our growing membership.

A Legacy Society, established by a not-for-profit such as NPAP, encourages participants to name an organization in their will or other planned giving instrument(s). Legacy gifts play an indispensable role in ensuring an organization’s future. And there is no immediate cost to the donor!

Leaving a legacy is a fitting and gratifying extension of your interest and participation in our organization. Many of you are at an age where active estate planning is taking place. Because joining the Theodor Reik Society involves only a pledge, it is an especially attractive option for retirees and other older adults with limited income. (You may wish to consult your tax advisor as to which instrument[s] would be most beneficial to you and your family.)

Membership in the Theodor Reik Society requires only a written notification advising the Ad Hoc Fundraising Committee that you have arranged for a legacy gift or intend to do so. It’s helpful if respondents would also specify a projected dollar amount or percentage of their estate. These (non-mandatory) pledge amounts are confidential and may be updated by the participant at any time.

Your bequest can be unrestricted or designated for a specific purpose, e.g., to help create an endowment fund; to subsidize fees for clinic patients, thereby enabling NPAP to reach a more economically diverse population; or to offer scholarships to attract a more diverse cohort of candidates.

Please click here to complete our pledge form online or to print out a copy for mailing. In either case, we recommend that you make a copy of your completed form for your records. If you have any questions, please contact Rusty Horn at chorn1000@aol.com or 212.799.0695.

We very much hope you will become a Member of the Theodor Reik Society. You will not only be expressing your support of NPAP’s mission, but you will also feel proud that you have helped to ensure the future of our pioneering organization.

Warmly,
The Ad Hoc Fundraising Committee
